About me
Hi! I’m Anna – a strange mixture of love for metal, folklore, bugs and books. I graduated from Librarianship and now I study Information and Library Studies. In third grade at high school I have attended a two-week Erasmus internship in Dublin, where I worked in a small book store. I have done two other two-week practices during my time at high school – one at the Moravian Library and one in a small town library. Since 2022 I’ve been working part-time at the Moravian Library. In 2025 I successfully got my driver’s license.
Other than that, I enjoy attending the Feast celebration; I am a big fan of metal music, but you can find more about that lower, in the “Passions” section. I love flowers, plants, books, insect and tattoos (which means that I have the ability to save money, arrive to the appointment on time and sit still for hours). Passively, I am interested in environmental issues, politics and equal rights.
Pets
Proud mother of a dog – Sakura, and a lizard – Luboš.
Sakura is a 6-year-old Yorkshire Biewer terrier. We got her as a puppy, and since then she has been an irreplaceable member of our family. Her origin starts in Dukovany, so we blame her low intelligence on the radioactivity around there. Her main life goal is to destroy every single toy she receives in the shortest time possible (her personal record is about 30 minutes). Her favorite treats are salmon sticks and carrots, her least favorite ones are blueberry treats (even though she likes fresh blueberries) and banana. Our neighbor’s dog is Saku’s best friend (Saku finds her annoying, but still loves her very much) but she also has her main enemy – birds. Her trigger word is “walk” – walks are her favorite thing ever and just the word itself makes her go crazy. Last but not least: she loves cuddles, sun and ̶m̶y̶ our bed. On the other hand, she hates being home alone and not sitting on my lap while I eat.
Luboš is only about one year old, a Correlophus Ciliatus. He has been part of our family for just a few months so far, but we already absolutely love him. He is a man of fifty shades and colors. His light dalmatian print makes him look even more special. He is a curious young boy that loves jumping anywhere he can. He likes crickets, doesn’t reject a good fruit puree and loves bananas. In another life, he wants to be a pink frog included in a LEGO flower set. His favourite place to sleep is his extremely cool dinosaur skull.
In the summer, my hobby is to breed moths. My main pet-goal for now is to own an Orchid mantis.
Passions
Apart from pets and animals, that deserved their own category, my main passions are books, music, art, folklore and travels. If I’m not home, you can probably find me at a concert, festival or somewhere walking. My favorite music genre is metal, but sometimes I listen to rock, pop or folk music as well. I’m a patron of a few artists – Zora Cock, Siebe Sol Sijpkens, Melissa Bonny and Alissa White-Gluz. With that being said, I am an active member of the Blackbriar community. Regarding books – I read whatever I just want to read – from poetry to dystopia through fantasy. Even though I mentioned art, I am no big artist. In my free time, I enjoy sewing.
In the summer, I create moth frames and sometimes draw in my diary and create pretty pages. Traveling is something that I truly love deeply, but since I am a broke student (who wastes most of her money on tattoos, concerts and festivals) I do not travel as often as I would like to.
I attend the Feast celebration as one of the participants in my home town. This year I’m attending for the third time and I’m planning to attend until I manage to be posted as the main pair (which might take a while considering that I do not have a stable partner).
In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym.
